1976 Rogers SuperTen Snare Drum 14" × 5" — Chrome Over Metal Shell

A superb example of the Rogers SuperTen, dating from 1976 and presented in excellent condition. The drum features the correct Big R badge, serial number D13473, confirming its mid-1970s production.

Built with a chrome-over-metal shell, this SuperTen is fitted with 10 beavertail lugs, the iconic “clockface” strainer, and an internal tone control, delivering the focused punch and musical response that made this model a studio and stage favorite. All components are original, and the drum is currently fitted with Remo Ambassador heads.

The snare has been completely stripped, carefully inspected, cleaned, and professionally re-assembled, ensuring optimal playability while preserving its original character.

As described in the 1976 Rogers catalog:

“At last, a snare drum you can dig into and it still responds and feels good… carefully designed snare beds provide that thick sound that has become so popular… easy to play, easy to tune, and durable, the Super Ten gives a funky sound that is so much a part of today’s music.”

A classic American snare with unmistakable 1970s character—powerful, responsive, and timeless.
