Condition: Very good vintage condition; early keyholing, smooth edges, and a beautiful, natural vintage patina. Structurally sound and great sounding.
An outstanding vintage Zildjian K Istanbul cymbal, produced during the final years of Turkish manufacturing, directly from the Istanbul factory before production ceased in Turkey. Cymbals from this era are increasingly scarce and highly desirable among collectors and players alike.
This example features the Older New Stamp, along with the original ink stamp on the underside indicating “Medium” weight and 20” size, a detail that adds both authenticity and historical value.
Sound character:
Warm, complex, and deeply musical, with a balanced blend of stick definition and controlled wash. The cymbal responds beautifully at lower dynamics while opening up with a rich, expressive crash when pushed—an ideal choice for jazz, fusion, blues, and expressive acoustic settings.
