Premier custom 14" x 8" Snare Drum from early 1970's, made in England
Excellent condition for this snare drum which originally was a 14" x 8" tom from an early 1973 Premier drumkit, also called "tuna can" for its size and shape
The transformation has been produced several years ago by the master liuther in Amsterdam Mr Thijs vd Heijden, Customdrums. Thijs, filled the holes of the tom support and installed in the area a modern snare strainer accompanied by a buttplate. He re-wrapped the drum with a yellowed marine pearl finish.
The hardware is all original period Premier, including the famous die cast rims.
Remo Emperor coated batter and vintage Premier Everplay resonant head
The result is a fantastic sounding snare drum, deep, very warm, vintage feeling.
