1965 Ludwig Jazz Festival Snare Drum – 14" x 5" | (Ginger) Silver Sparkle

A beautiful and highly desirable Ludwig Jazz Festival snare drum from 1965, finished in the classic Silver Sparkle (Ginger) wrap.

Fitted with the correct Chicago Keystone badge, serial number #190354, with an internal factory date stamp SEP 29, 1965, confirming its originality and period accuracy.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. All components are original, with no structural or functional issues. A clean and honest example showing only minimal signs of age.

Shell:

  • Classic 3-ply Ludwig shell

  • Mahogany / Poplar / Mahogany

  • Maple reinforcement rings

  • Original Resocoat white interior

Hardware & Components:

  • P-83 strainer

  • P-32 butt plate with correct 1960s Ludwig logo

  • P-4067 internal tone control with white felt (“baseball” style)

  • Puresound snare wires

  • Original period-correct hardware throughout

Heads:

  • New Remo Ambassador coated batter head

  • New Remo Ambassador snare-side head

The snare has been completely disassembled, carefully inspected, cleaned, and professionally reassembled, ensuring excellent playability while preserving full vintage integrity.
