Many people have asked about the choice of name. Here is the story behind it.
Purple – not only a colour that represents nobility, at one time only permitted to be worn by kings, queens and emperors, but half of the name of one of the best and most enduring rock bands in the last 5 decades. Deep Purple’s legend of a drummer, Ian Paice, also represents everything about drums and cymbals that Purple Chord endorses – beauty, skill, quality and excellence.
Chord – a difficult word for some, meaning a group of musical notes played together in harmony.
In combination, we have a unique name that is singular, identifiable and memorable.
